The changing landscape of Alzheimer’s Disease – what do stroke physicians need to know?

Presented by Dr Nawaf Yassi

Dr Yassi will give a brief overview of the changing landscape in Alzheimer’s Disease and then focus on aspects of emerging therapies that are most relevant to stroke physicians: management of acute stroke in people who may be receiving emerging therapies (including considerations of reperfusion therapy); recognition of Amyloid-Related Imaging Abnormalities (ARIA) (particularly as a clinical differential for acute stroke); imaging features of ARIA, and issues around anticoagulation.
